Our Live Calci Worms (live Black Soldier Fly larvae) are a favourite natural treat for UK chicken keepers. This 500g easy-pour tube makes feeding clean, simple, and controlled — pour what you need, reseal, and store the rest.

No loose bags. No spills. Just shake, pour, feed, close.

A high-value treat chickens love (alongside a complete feed)

Live calci worms are naturally rich in protein and a naturally occurring source of calcium. They’re best used as a supplemental treat alongside a complete diet.

Proper enrichment (not just a snack)

Because they’re live and moving, they trigger instinctive pecking, scratching and foraging, helping keep chickens active, occupied and mentally stimulated.

How many tubes do I need?

Each 500g tube is enough to comfortably treat around 6 birds, depending on how often you feed.

A simple guide (treat feeding):

1–3 hens: 1 tube (typically lasts well)

4–6 hens: 1 tube

7–10 hens: consider 2 tubes

10+ hens: consider multiple tubes

ECO 8ft Raised Chicken Coop With Run

Overall good service, coop was delivered within the estimated time, assembly is quick within a couple of hours, it would make it more helpful if the pieces were labelled with the letters the same way the screws are labelled, one thing I found tricky to fit together was the nesting box I found it easier to attach the sides first followed by the floor and then add the side panel after but other than that very easy. Wood is slightly thin so I will be adding extra bedding for winter and there are some small gaps around the frame but these can be easily filled in with felt for extra warmth. It’s advertised for 4-6 medium birds but I think 4 would be the max in this coop.

So far so good

So far so good, quick and efficient delivery and communication. Easy to build and instructions were fairly clear. The wood is slightly thinner than I’d expected so we shall have to see how it winters, we intend to put wood protect on it ourselves. Seems sturdy though and a decent size for a few chickens. Only downside is the latches on the side, they’re very stiff and don’t really open/close very well so we will probably need to replace them.
