Delivery Guidelines

Our standard and next-day deliveries are scheduled as all-day deliveries, meaning someone must be available at the delivery address between normal working hours (Monday to Friday) to sign for the product and inspect the boxes.

If you opt to have the product left without a signature, we cannot be held responsible for any damage to the packaging or contents, as you won’t be able to check for external damages. To avoid any issues, please ensure someone is available to inspect the delivery when it arrives.

Delivery Options (Main UK Zone):

Free Express Delivery: All products (including covers) – 2-3 working days

-Saturday Delivery: £29.99

-Northern Ireland Delivery: £49.99

– Highlands Delivery: £29.99

Before Ordering:

  • Ensure you provide a daytime contact number for arranging delivery.
  • Double-check that you’ve given the correct delivery address.
  • Confirm that someone will be available to receive the delivery from Monday to Friday.

On delivery:

On the day of delivery, please ensure someone is home to receive the product. It’s essential to inspect each box for any damage before signing the delivery note.

  • If the outer packaging is damaged, accept the goods but sign as “damaged” so we can process any claims. Failure to do this may result in rejected damage claims.
  • If the product itself is visibly damaged, refuse the delivery and sign as “damaged on delivery – item refused.” Contact us immediately to resolve the issue.

Even if the packaging appears damaged, we recommend accepting the delivery, as our packaging is designed to protect the contents.

After Delivery

Please open and inspect the product within 24-48 hours of receipt to check for any damages or faults. Failure to inspect within this timeframe may result in the rejection of replacement requests, per our terms and conditions. Avoid storing the product without inspecting it immediately.

Product Maintenance

Our wooden chicken coops and runs are pre-treated with an animal-friendly wood preservative, offering protection for the first 4 weeks. To ensure your coop remains in top condition, regular maintenance is crucial:

  • Weekly cleaning: Clean the coop and run regularly to maintain hygiene and prevent wear.
  • Bi-annual treatment: Apply wood preservative or varnish twice a year, preferably before and after winter, for added protection.
  • First month treatment: Within the first month (or before heavy rain), apply a high-quality varnish, roof sealer, water repellent, or wood preservative. Pay attention to the roof edges, eaves, and joints to prevent drying, warping, or unsightly wear.

If your coop will remain outdoors, additional coats of wood preservative are recommended for long-term protection. For the metal wire, use rust remover and rust protection paint to extend its lifespan.

Always ensure that all products used are non-toxic and animal-friendly to keep your chickens safe. For best results, place your coop in a sheltered location, away from full exposure to the elements.

Please note, we cannot accept claims for products that have not been properly maintained or left without protection.
